Leadership & Personal Coaching

Change is inevitable.  Individuals can choose to react to change or they can plan and seek to guide the changes that are inevitable in life and work.  Coaching is a confidential, professional relationship that supports individuals to explore their opportunities and choose their paths.  For leaders, coaching has become a globally recognized avenue to for leaders seeking to cultivate greater leadership vision, strategic plans and interpersonal effectiveness.  For individuals at crossroads in life, coaching offers an empathetic and supportive partnership to support creative thinking, self-efficacy and considered actions.  If this describes you, please read on.

Develop Leadership

Leadership is about unlocking potential- in yourself, your fellow employees, and your organization.  To be effective, a leader draws upon a wide range of skills and abilities as well as intrinsic values, motivations and sense of purpose.  A leader’s position is rewarding and can also feel isolating.  In leadership coaching I provide a safe and confidential space for you to reflect on your challenges and support you to a broader and more multi-dimensional vision of who you are as a leader and how you lead.

Plan and Meet Personal Goals

In personal coaching, I am a fellow traveler on the journey of being human.  Even people who are surrounded by loving friends and family find it useful to have an objective supporter help plan change. Together, we explore how you can leverage the knowledge, skills and experiences of the past and present to create a vision for the next stage of your life.  The process includes weighing and evaluating options as well as mapping actions needed to attain your desired goals.

I have been coached by Francine once a week for a couple of years. The value I have gained from her coaching is immense. Francine’s coaching style is strategic, direct and creative. She is highly skilled in ensuring that I own my development and learning. I feel completely supported by her as I know she sees me at my best in every coaching conversation. Francine also brings a large repertoire of tools, models and analogies to facilitate a shift in my perspective to reveal my blind spots. These perspectives have assisted me in making better decisions and gaining clearer strategic direction. I have had many pivotal moments in my coaching, allowing me to scale up my thinking and to grow to be a better person.

Learn About the Process

The coaching partnership starts with a conversation with between coach and potential client to determine alignment and chemistry.  Trust is key in the coaching relationship.  In the initial conversation, I learn about who you are, your journey to the present and where you want to go. In leadership coaching, we also explore your work environment, organizational goals and current leadership role. I share whatever the client wants to know about my own background and experiences.  It is an open exchange and potential clients are encouraged to come with questions of their own.   Based on that conversation, I’ll send a follow up proposal summarizing the key points and options for coaching work.  The options depend on client need and, for leaders, organizational protocols for coaching engagements. Once a proposal has been accepted, I follow up with a coaching agreement which details agreed upon logistics and protocols and we proceed to set up sessions according to the client’s circumstances. Each conversation includes a quick check in, client’s goal for the session, and an in-depth dialogue to support the client achieve the session goal.  Sessions end with client wrap up and intended actions.
